I have pretty much maintained my current weight since 2001. But this year I decided to lose about 5 pounds right after Halloween, allowing me to “gain” my typical 5 pounds of holiday weight and be right where I started – no need for the “lose weight” New Year’s resolution. I lost the 5 pounds by Thanksgiving and actually a few more since. So I’m between 6-8 pounds less than before on any given day.
I’ve been noticing a difference during my morning workouts, especially the days I run. It’s just easier. Today I did a workout requiring more jumping than normal. Man, I felt good! I just felt lighter and had more fun than the last time I used that workout video. Who would have thought a few pounds could make so much difference?
So, now I’m setting this as my new goal weight to maintain.
I guess that means I’ll have to lose 5 pounds again after New Year’s. (sigh )
